News
From 01 July 2026 the rates to hire the McLintock Hall will be increased. The last increase was in 2012 so it is well over a decade since these were reviewed. See Our Space for details of current and proposed hall hire rates.”
Local Development Plan
We would like to invite you to share your views on the emerging Spatial Strategy and the Site Options currently being considered for inclusion in the Proposed Plan. This consultation can be found on the Engage Stirling website and will close on Thursday 23 July 2026.
There are two surveys to complete:
-
Spatial Strategy Options – The purpose of this part of the consultation is to gather feedback on the early ideas for the hierarchy of settlements and the associated development approaches, which will help shape decisions about where future development should, or should not, take place within the Stirling area (except the National Park).
-
Site Options – The purpose of this part of the consultation is to gather feedback from individual members of the public and community organisations on the site options currently being considered for inclusion in the Proposed Plan. The sites shown in this consultation come from two places:
-
Sites submitted by landowners and developers during the Call for Sites, which ran from August to October 2025; and
-
Sites already identified for development in the current Stirling Local Development Plan 2018 that have not yet started and therefore need to be reassessed to decide whether they should be included in the next Plan.
-
Alongside the surveys, a number of public drop-in events are planned to take place during May and June.
The confirmed events can be found here.
